Block Kids Building Program
The Block Kids Building Program challenges students from kindergarten to 6th grade to use their imagination in constructing a structure or project using interlocking blocks. By introducing children to construction industry careers at an early age, we hope to create awareness and develop their interest in future careers.
This award-winning national competition is sponsored by the NAWIC Education Foundation (NEF) and run by local NAWIC chapters nationwide. Local winners advance to the regional competition and one semi-finalist from each region enters the national program competition. National prizes are awarded to the top three projects.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need help setting up/breaking down, judging the competition, helping with activities, and speaking to the students about careers in construction.
SPONSORS NEEDED: We are accepting cash donations, gift cards and goody bag items (company items).
