Please join us for Women Improving Construction and the Industry
Tuesday, June 26th from 5:30-8:00pm at the Embassy Suites Anaheim-North.

This month’s focus is on Mentorship, and growing the future generation of construction leaders.

You’ve heard us talk about it, you’ve helped with fundraising efforts for it, and maybe even participated as a volunteer or instructor, but do you really know and understand the impact of Camp NAWIC on its attendees? Chapter member Lynne MacVean has poured her heart into Camp NAWIC for 10 years, and in the process opened the eyes of dozens of young girls to potential careers in the construction trades. Join us this month for a better understanding of Camp and how it is nurturing the next generation of construction leaders. Lead Camp instructor John Puckett will share his insights with us.

John Puckett has been the lead Camp instructor for 9 years, mostly while leading the BITA program at Katella HS. John now lends his expertise and patience to the construction program at HOPE Builders in Santa Ana, our host location for this year’s Camp NAWIC. John has seen the impact on the girls who attend Camp NAWIC, including his own daughters, and will speak to his experiences participating with Camp and its lasting impact.
